IRISH SET DANCERS FRANKFURT

In the heart of the Rhein Main area in Germany

The Irish Set Dancers Frankfurt is part of the Folk Club Frankfurt. We dance the traditional dances of Ireland. They used to be danced in peoples' homes and crossroads, and sometimes still are! Typically 4 couples dance together following a rich and varied choreography, that with experience, can be enriched with various steps. The music is very lively, with a great bounce that helps the dancers manage moving around the floor.
Our members regularly visit workshops in Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Ireland.

Covid 19 Precautions
Only dancers that meet the 2G+ rules will be allowed to dance, i.e. legal proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid 19, plus a self-test made immediately before the each Monday workshop is an absolute requirement.
These rules are necessary as Irish Set-Dance is so energetic that wearing a mask is not practical. The nature of Irish Set-Dance does not allow a minimum distance to be kept, plus, partners are changed frequenly during the dances. It is because of this and the fact that both vaccinated and recovered people can still spread Covid-19 that we require a self-test.
